About Me

Hi, I am SANDEEP RAVINDRA, a 4th year undergrad student at SRM University, Chennai pursuing Computer Science and Engineering, 2017 batch.
I'm an ardent learner, actively seeking internship opportunities in software development.
Besides involvement in programming and academics, I play sports like Badminton, Cycling, Cricket etc. I love to travel and meet new people.
Peer Group, Work Quality and Growth Opportunities are the most important things I am looking for in a job.


Coding




I discovered my love for coding and development while studying in the 11th grade. I feel that this field is not only interesting, but also challenging. Building useful products has a sense of satisfaction associated to it which is irreplaceable. This is why, after graduation I will be pursuing my career in this field.

Technology




Technology has revolutionized the world we're living in. The advancement in this field is so immense that, every second that passes by, something new and unique is introduced to this world. According to me, advancements in technology will not only help us grow but also bridge the gaps between various countries.

Leadership




I appreciate the importance of team work and leadership skills. Being the Head Boy in the 12th grade and leading several other competitions in B.Tech, I have interacted with some incredible leaders and I continue to draw inspiration from them. I have had some experience with leadership roles and I am always up for opportunities to explore more.

  • After four semesters, I currently have a CGPA of 9.05.
  • I completed my 12th grade at Kendriya Vidyalaya CLRI, Chennai in 2013 with an aggregate score of 93.8%.
  • I completed my 10th grade at Kendriya Vidyalaya CLRI, Chennai in 2011 with a CGPA of 9.
  • My interest lies in Data Structures, Algorithms and Networks.
Tic Tac Toe Game June'14 - July'14
  • Designed a user Vs. computer Tic Tac Toe game using Minimax Algorithm and Alpha Beta Pruning.
  • Involved knowledge of two player game theory concepts and C++.
Hostel Allocation System Mar'16 - May'16
  • Created a project on hostel allocation system which enables students to select floors and rooms from various blocks.
  • Technologies used are MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS, NodeJS, popularly known as MEAN stack.
Movie Theatre Booking System August'15 - September'15
  • Created a project on Movie Booking System of a theatre as part of the DBMS course.
  • Technologies used are Java, JDBC and MySQL.
Zoho Attendance Jan'16
  • Wrote a Python script that scrapes the Zoho website built for displaying marks and attendance of SRM University students. Details of 730 students were scraped and stored in a database.
  • Technologies used are Python, BeautifulSoup, MongoDB.
Result-Reminder Feb'16
  • Wrote a Python script that scrapes SRM University’s main website (Announcements section) every 10 minutes to check if the results have been declared.
  • Technologies used are Python, BeautifulSoup.

  • Created an project on Sports Complex information System with details of the players and their performance statistics.

  • Developed a dynamic web application for cab companies using AngularJS for a faster response.
  • Other languages used are JavaScript, jQuery.
Y Chassis Robot Programmer
SRM Team Robocon July'14 - Oct'14
  • Created a Y chassis robot interfaced with Arduino atMega 2560, Arduino Uno, Arduino Nano, and a PS2 controller.
  • The microcontrollers were programmed using Arduino C.

  • ACM ICPC : Secured 6th rank out of 140 teams at the India Chennai Multi-Provincial Contest 2015.
  • Secured 1st position in Code Mortem, 2nd position in Clave Cluster and Source Code 1.0, coding competitions at Aaruush 2015, SRM University.
  • Secured 100% score and 99% percentile in the C Programming course by IIT Kanpur in 2014.
  • Secured 1st position in “ROBOTICS”, out of top 60 teams pan India, during TECHNICHE, 2012 (Annual Techno Management Festival held during 30th August – 02 September, 2012) at IIT Guwahati.
  • Secured 1st position in “I-Expo” of technical fest EPIPHANY held on 13th-14th August 2013 SRM University.
  • Secured 1st position in TECHKNOW’13, organised by Dept. of Physics and Nanotechnology, SRM University.
  • Secured international rank 172 and state rank 13 in the finals of 12th SOF-National Cyber Olympiad, and international rank 69 in the first level.
  • Participated in National Level Science Exhibition 2011-2012 in Ahmedabad. Won 1st prize at Regional and School Level.
  • Secured 112 rank at Code Niche’15 out of 1000 programmers on www.codechef.com.
  • Elected as the Head Boy for the year 2012-2013 at Kendriya Vidyalaya CLRI, Chennai.
